The last quarter of the school year will packed with packed with lots of vocabulary and grammar - our favorite part of learning a second language.  During the third quarter we covered the following material:

  • uses of SER and ESTAR
  • telling time
  • question words
  • expressing near future (ir a + infinitive)
  • conjugation of -AR, -ER, -IR verbs
  • expressing feelings with estar and adjectives
  • expressing what just happened (acabar de + infinitive)

During the fourth quarter, students will cover:

  • stem-changing verbs (e-ie, u-ue), decir, saber
  • weather
  • direct object pronouns
  • present progressive
  • affirmative tú commands
  • telling directions

To access daily class and homework assignments, visit the Google calendar.  These can also be found on Skyward.

Students are not only enriching their lives with the knowledge of a new language, they are also learning the Hispanic cultures from Central and South America, as well as Spain through news events, readings and music.  If students have any questions on material covered throughout the school year, I encourage them to look at my Moodle page that contains vocabulary, notes and other useful information.

Learning a foreign language opens doors to countless opportunities in life.  Thank you for encouraging your student to study this subject area that is so highly needed in today's society.

Feel free to contact me with any question or concern.

Sincerely,

Jennifer Snyder
