Mary Seep
First Grade Teacher

Welcome to Miss Seep’s classroom, a community with the common purpose of learning, growing, and becoming friends.

Establishing good classroom discipline proves essential to each child’s success, confidence, and well-being.  Every child should feel that the classroom environment is safe and secure place to help them reach their goals.

My expectations for the class include:

  • Put-downs are prohibited.
  • Respect and trust each other.
  • Strive for your personal best.
  • Discuss and listen actively.
  • Give and expect truth and honesty.
  • Take good risks.
  • Smile!

Some of the exciting things that we will cover in 1st grade include:

  • Decoding words and becoming fluent readers
  • Addition and subtraction
  • Time, money, shapes, and fractions
  • Writing complete sentences
  • Flat Stanley
  • Frogs
  • Kansas Day
  • 100th Day of School
  • Field trip to Kaleidoscope and DeAnna Rose Farmstead
