Welcome to 8th Grade Language Arts/ 7th Grade Kansas History and World Regions!
In Language Arts this quarter students will read various pieces of literature from the textbook, complete a historical fiction unit, practice daily journal writing, and complete a historical fiction novel of their choice. We will also be working hard to prepare for our State Reading Assessment. Students will complete various activities and exercises designed to help them remember and understand the concepts, terms, and ideas they need to be successful on the test.
In Kansas History and World Regions this quarter we will be talking about our local government, the five themes of geography, Canada, and Latin America. Students will learn about the culture, geography, government, economics, people, and important events of these regions.
