Fifth Grade Teacher
Welcome to my fifth grade classroom. My name is Tamar Pratt, and I am excited to be your child’s teacher this school year! As your child’s teacher, I have the wonderful opportunity to share a lifetime love of learning with each and everyone one of them.
I currently live in Olathe, Kansas with my husband. We have a golden retriever puppy. Her name is Maddie. She is such a joy and a bundle of energy!!! She definitely keeps us on our toes.
We are beginning our year with wonderful reading stories, and we will be focusing on story elements, cause and effect, and main idea. We have begun our first math unit. This unit is focusing on factors, prime and composite numbers, and basic multiplication facts. We have also begun our geography and earth science units. I believe this quarter will be filled with many wonderful learning opportunities for your students!!!
Thank you for allowing me to facilitate the education of your child each and every day. I must also say thank you for entrusting me with your child’s care and well being. It is so important to me to create a classroom that is safe and filled with a love of learning.
