6th Grade Mathematics Teacher
Welcome to 6th grade math! As students enter the classroom, they are challenged to expand their mathematical thinking through problem-solving activities involving real world applications.
Each day we follow a rigorous classroom routine giving students plenty of time to practice new skills learned. Students are encouraged to give help to struggling classmates during guided practice, cooperative learning activities, as well as independent work. We enjoy reinforcing concepts through songs, games, and projects allowing students to express their creativity, as well as demonstrate what they have learned in class.
Qualifying to compete in different math competitions offered throughout the year challenges students wanting to go above and beyond.
