McKenna Jansson
First Grade Teacher

Hello!  I’m McKenna Jansson and welcome to first grade. As we start the year, we will review what was learned in kindergarten – but as the year progresses you will see many changes in your students’ abilities! I believe all children can learn in a caring and supportive environment. I thoroughly love being a teacher and consider it a privilege to work with you and your children. I am excited to partner with you as we embark on this journey.

Here’s a little more about me. I graduated from Kansas State University where I received my Bachelor’s Degree.  This will be my fifth year of teaching in the Spring Hill School District.  My husband and I have been married for three years.  He is studying to be a doctor at KU.  We have a yellow lab named Millie and a chocolate lab named Millo, and they can keep us pretty busy! When I am not teaching, I enjoy hanging out with friends and family, relaxing, and watching sports!

Here are just a few examples of what we will be learning in first grade…
