Welcome to math! I am looking forward to a great school year and a wonderful year of mathematics! Each student will be given a syllabus for the year, which will include information about course requirements, material requirements, grading procedure, and classroom expectations. Overall, communication is going to be essential between the student, teacher, and parents/guardians. Feel free to contact me at any time with questions, comments, or concerns.
Algebra 2 will be a large amount of review from Algebra 1 as well as Geometry. We will learn how to graph equations of lines and inequalities as well as becoming more skilled at balancing, solving equations and simplifying expressions. In addition, we will start building our base for Trigonometry, College Algebra, and Calculus.
College Prep is great way to prepare yourself for the College Algebra entry test at universities as well as the ACT. This course is used as a way to polish your mathematical skills through review of Algebra 1 and Algebra 2. The class will include the daily rigor of a college classroom including how to take notes and follow lecture. Students should expect homework each day.
