Where am I?
Great Expectations
The following websites are taken from the American Speech Language Hearing Association and describe what to expect in your child's speech and language development from birth through fifth grade. Always remember that like all other developmental skills, children develop speech and language at their own pace. These are general guidelines of what MOST children are able to do at this age. If your child is unable to do one or two things on these lists, do not get overly concerned. The websites contain ideas of ways to help your child develop these skills. Work with your children on these skills throughout your daily living. If they seem to be lacking many of the skills or you have concerns about their speech and language development, contact your SLP.
