6th grade Language Arts
Although I have taught Family and Consumer Science and Special Education, I enjoy teaching Language Arts the most. This will be my 12th year of teaching at Spring Hill Middle School. It is my 6th year teaching Language Arts.
We have a wonderful community here in Spring Hill. I grew up here and I currently live in Spring Hill. I also have two children in the district.
One of my main goals this year will be to motivate my students to read. One way I help encourage this is through the KU book awards. Students can work towards a silver or gold award throughout the school year. Another goal I have is to help the students become better writers. We will do a variety of novel studies and writing assignments this year.
