Kim Hanson
Special Education Teacher

Welcome to Mrs. Hanson’s 3rd grade resource room.  This year is been going by very fast.  We have been very busy in my classroom.  We just completed Unit 2 in Everyday Math.  We will start Unit 3 after Thanksgiving.  We are also going to be Unit 3 in reading and will be starting a new story after Thanksgiving break.  We are working hard on our addition facts, and learning about prefixes and suffixes.  We are also learning how to answer the "Who, what, when, where" questions after reading a story and solving story problems in math.

On a personal note, I graduated from MidAmerica Nazarene University with a BA in Elementary Education in 1988.  I went on to get a MS in Special Education from the Univeristy of Kansas.  I taught in both the a special educatin classroom and general education classroom for 8 years, before I decided to stay home with my 3 children.  I have been back teaching for 8 years.  I LOVE to read, go on vacation with my family and scrapbook.  I also love to exercise, I run and taught water aerobics at the Spring Hill Aquatics Center.

Having a great year with your students!!

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you!
