Second Grade Teacher
Hi! Welcome to Second Grade! My name is Mrs. Kathy Gordon and I've taught at Spring Hill Elementary since 1994. I have taught first, third, fourth, and now second grade. I graduated with a bachelor's degree in elementary education in 1989. When I'm not at school, I spend time with my husband and children. I also enjoy reading. My favorite books are historical fiction novels.
My goal for each year is to acquire as much knowledge as possible while maintaining a safe and fun environment, which applies to students and myself. I enjoy investigating new topics and ways to teach them. Students are expected to contribute and to work hard. We take time every day to learn, laugh, and lean on each other.
One of my favorite times of the day is Science Lab. In Science Lab, we investigate many things. One of the best-loved labs this year has been creating an electrical circuit. You should have seen their eyes light up!
