Hello, my name is Julie Falen and I have been at Spring Hill Elementary since 2001. I graduated from Kansas State University with a B.S. in Elementary Education and from MidAmerica University with my Master’s Degree in Education.
In Jumpstart Math, I teach a program called Number Worlds. It is a research-based intervention program that builds a strong foundation of math skills for students’ success. The activities are games that are highly engaging due to the hands on approach and use of manipulatives to practice the skills. The program covers number sense, number patterns, addition and subtraction, geometry and measurement, and data analysis. At the completion of each lesson, the students complete a journal to practice the math skill taught.
