Hello and welcome to second grade! My name is Kathy Blanchard, and I am a second grade teacher at Spring Hill Elementary school. This is my sixth year teaching and my fourth year in second grade. I have previously taught kindergarten in Kansas City, Kansas. I love teaching and enjoy being surrounded with the love and laughter my students bring into the classroom.
I live in Gardner with my husband Michael and our son Owen. When I am not teaching you can find me at home reading, taking Owen for walks, golfing with my husband, or going on canoe trips with my friends. I also love to travel and have been fortunate enough to go to England, Italy, Ireland, Scotland, Holland, Mexico and Jamaica. . . who knows where I will travel next?! A few of my favorite things are Mexican food, KU Jayhawks, LSU Tigers, and shopping for new purses!
