6th Grade History Teacher
Welcome to 6th Grade Ancient Civilizations. I am really excited to start the fourth quarter. We just finished taking the Social Studies state assessment and the preliminary scores are outstanding. Preliminary scores show that 95% of sixth grade students meet or exceeded the state criteria. Way to go sixth graders! This quarter we will be working on many fun projects which include game board making and infomercial’s (pitchman).
To help encourage 21st Century Skills we have an online textbook available to all sixth grade Social Studies students. All students have their user name and password to access the online textbook. Below is the sixth grade calendar that houses the homework assignments and class handouts.
Students will be evaluated on the following requirements: reading text, answering questions from the text, class participation, individual and group projects, note taking, geography quizzes, oral and written tests.
